We also welcome preschool children (aged 5–6) to our Polish classes if they are about to start school in the Polish education system.
In these classes we help children get used to Polish and recreate situations they may meet at the start of primary school in Poland. We cover topics such as the after-school club (świetlica), school supplies, classroom instructions and "the world around us".
This way children aren't afraid of their first day at a school where most people speak Polish. We want them to feel comfortable, understand what the teacher is saying to them, and make those first months at least a little easier.
